EMDR-trained therapists, matched free
Find an EMDR therapist.Process what happened without retelling it.
Chat with Abby. She learns what keeps replaying and matches you with a vetted, EMDR-trained therapist. One of the best-researched trauma treatments there is, and you never have to narrate the whole story.
Your match is ready. Her name is Dani, and I think you’ll see why I picked her.
How matching works
Your conversations become your match.
Everything you tell Abby, what keeps replaying, how it fires in your body, when you’re available, becomes the search. You never fill out a form.
Why her: Dani is fully EMDR trained with trauma as her whole practice, and she builds preparation and safety before any processing begins.
Designed with licensed therapists
Watch Abby match.
A directory shows you five hundred strangers. Abby starts from your story. She maps what keeps replaying, how ready you feel, and the practical stuff like schedule and budget, then searches the network and beyond for properly trained EMDR therapists.
You get a shortlist of real fits, with the reason behind each one. Not five hundred profiles.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
How does Abby match me with an EMDR therapist?
You tell Abby what keeps replaying and how it shows up. She learns your pace, your history with therapy, and your schedule and budget, then brings you a shortlist of properly EMDR-trained therapists with the reason each one fits.
What does EMDR actually stand for?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. In practice: you hold a difficult memory lightly in mind while following guided bilateral stimulation, usually eye movements or taps, and the brain reprocesses the memory so it stops firing like it’s live.
Do I have to describe the trauma in detail?
No. EMDR needs the headline, not the full narration. Many people process significant trauma while saying very little out loud, which is exactly why some choose EMDR over talk-first approaches.
How many sessions does EMDR take?
Single-incident trauma sometimes shifts in 3 to 6 processing sessions after preparation. Complex or repeated trauma takes longer because safety comes first. A trained EMDR therapist maps the phases with you up front.
Is EMDR legitimate or a fad?
Legitimate. It’s recommended for PTSD by the World Health Organization and the VA, with decades of trials behind it. The eye movements sound odd, which is why the evidence matters more than the optics.
Can EMDR be done online?
Yes. Virtual EMDR with guided visual or tapping protocols is now standard practice and studies support it. Tell Abby your preference and she’ll match accordingly.
Can I use my insurance?
Tell Abby you want to use insurance and she factors it into the match, along with budget, sliding scale, or self-pay if that’s simpler. You’ll know how a therapist handles payment before you ever book.
